I filmed this on july 27th, 3:27pm above the middle of toronto with hospitals, parliament, and the city’s sign. i didn’t mean to catch it on video and i really don’t know why i videoed. more random on my part.

i couldn’t discern the object when i first saw it. i’ll describe at length, forgive the stream of consciousness:

object, white’ish in colour, moves very quickly in a near-linear line (it makes small wavers in slow-mo) with great speed before stopping before a cloud maybe 5,000+ feet high. zooming in on 4k video 60fps to the circle, it sometimes becomes fuzzy while everything else in frame (helicopter, buildings, clouds) do not and sometimes quite clear. it also has points where it seems to vanish for a fraction of a fraction of a second before returning. a small shift in shading when clear makes it seem like it does a random barrel roll. it moves behind the helicopter, allowing the helicopter blades to show in slow motion that it is well behind it and not an odd reflection. since i’m not panning the camera linearly, yet its trajectory is, this allows me to consider it as an object. i have shortened a 30 sec clip to 4sec, where it is with a screenshot to make it more obvious without zooming in. i’ll upload a 50sec one wear i zoom in a bit and use my finger to manually slow it down. hopefully the submission isn’t downgraded as it’s neat to see it almost being playful and how fast it stops, while continuing to shift between solid and fuzzy – but not out of focus. since it’s daylight, no trail, unusual movement and speed, optical changes, and stops, i decided it’s not a satellite, meteor, or normal plane. i thought a drone, but given the height it must be quite large.
